Recommended Profiles Within Categories
For some time now we’ve been working on ideas to help people who don’t have the top spots in the battle for followers counts to get noticed. We’ve come up with a new Twellow feature that spotlights people who have been deemed worthy of a follow, but might not be at the top of the list.
The new “Recommended Profiles” box now appears on most category pages with a list of registered Twellow users in that category who have recently been followed by another Twellow user. This list is sorted by the least number of followers. Even though these people might not have a lot of followers, some people have found their profile worthy of a follow, so we’re giving them a hand-up in getting seen on Twitter.
The list defaults at four profiles, with an option to “Show More” for an expanded list of up to twenty recently-discovered users in the category. We feel this is a great way to see interesting people who you might not otherwise find in your travels down the “rabbit hole”.
Enjoy!

You have a really great site. We can now find people to follow by location, by similar interests, & by profiles.
You even let us know if we are already following them & allow us to follow them. They are sorted well, and we can edit our own profile.
I am glad to see that you feature and promote people who are not just celebrities of “follower hounds,” just deserving of notice.
Thanks for making the twellow pages.

Janet,
We’re definitely pleased to hear you are finding our service valuable. It’s been amazing to see the broad richness of experience these lesser-known Twitterers have to offer.
Cheers,
