As Twitter continues to grow, so do the lists of friends (or “followings”) and followers people are accumulating. We’ve had a few people run into a limit in our Twellow search that prevented people with large numbers of friends and followers from searching within those lists.

Search FriendsWith this in mind we’ve analyzed our systems and increased the limit to 524,288. This number should cover the vast majority of our users. For those with more followers or friends than this, we’ll keep an eye on system performance to see if this limit can be increased in the future.

Happy Searching!

Now that Twellow has grown to over a thousand categories, we’ve been looking at allowing Twellow users to search those categories. We’ve just implemented a feature on search results pages that shows any categories that might match your search terms. This should make it easier to find profiles that you are interested in, as well as being able to see if we have a category that matches your interests without needing to scan our entire list of categories on our “All Categories” page. This will make Twellow easier to use and understand for a lot of people.

Twellow has introduced a few new features that will help in sifting through your followers and those whom you follow. And we’ve also added a slight change to our interface to make finding our most used Twellow features easier.

TwellowHood StickerOne of the great things about Twellow is it allows you to find people with similar interests who you can follow and interact with. One of the other great things about Twellow is it allows you to find people in certain locations. We’ve taken the second great thing and made it even better… (more…)
