Great Britain and IrelandIt’s indeed a pleasure for me to introduce the addition of Great Britain and Ireland to our Twellowhood feature. Now our users in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands can browse the map for Twitter users located in their vicinity.

new_zealandThe “youngest country on Earth” is now also the newest country in the Twellowhood. New Zealand has now been added to our Twellowhood map feature, expanding our offering in addition to The United States, Canada, and Australia. You can now drill down into New Zealand from the main Twellowhood page, or link directly to it here.

Welcome aboard, New Zealand!

With the capital states of the United States(District of Columbia) and Australia(Australian Capital Territory) being so difficult to find on our TwellowHood map, Lead Developer Matthew Daines has made it easier to locate these important landmarks.

On TwellowHood, when a user selects the United States or Australia, a small identifier will appear with a link to the country’s specific capital as shown below:

United States:

Australia:

With this in mind, we have also added an identifier for the state of Rhode Island on the United States, because this too is a difficult state to locate and access on the TwellowHood map.

We hope that this helps you find people that matter within these areas mentioned above.

First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Chad, and I work as support for Twellow. For the majority of my life, I lived in and grew up in Australia. With this premise, ever since TwellowHood was first launched, it has been my goal to see a region added for Australia.

Lead programmer/developer Matthew Daines and I have been working diligently to make an Australian-dedicated feature possible so that Aussies can find other Twitter users with common interests, based on their geographic location. With this said, on behalf of Twellow, I would like to present TwellowHood: Australia to you.

This new service includes the following Australian states and territories:

  • Australian Capital Territory
  • New South Wales
  • Northern Territory
  • Queensland
  • South Australia
  • Tasmania
  • Victoria
  • Western Australia

We hope that you enjoy this new feature, and also hope that this helps you find other fellow Aussies that matter on Twitter.

Canada

As promised we’ve been working feverishly to bring TwellowHood to more of our Twellow users. We’re pleased to now offer the TwellowHood map to our friends up in Canada. This extends the TwellowHood by over 11,000 new people, so be sure to stop by and check it out. And be sure to check out Nunavut and give @polarlawyer a follow. It looks lonely up there!

Enjoy,

Matthew Daines
